jingqu: AIR AND WATER SHOW Chicago, Illinois, August 2011 I didn’t bring a telephoto lens this year, so I didn’t get very good photos of the actual airplanes. The fixed 35mm prime, however, allowed me to capture some beautiful contrail designs that I would have never considered if I had a longer lens. I got some great candids of all my friends nonetheless. I left before the end, so I actually watched the Thunderbird’s performance from Michigan Avenue. Watching them fly through the high-rise buildings was breathtaking.
